ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Working during holidays on a summer camps is a popular way of spending the vacations in the USA but also it is a chance to see the American lifestyle from the unusual point. This program is addressed to young people who wish to combine the work as a tutor  with other activities. The leading idea behind the work camps is to give our participants an opportunity to live amongst Americans. Campers work as coaches and instructors taking care of American kids and the youth, it is a perfect and suitable occasion to improve your interpersonal skills and language.  

Variety of different jobs to choose from is highly beneficial because the initial contribution you make is much lower in compression with other projects like Work and Travel programs. Our prices are suitable for every student. Work camps give you the chance to know America personally, to broaden your worldview and to enrich your individual career.

J-1 VISA     

Exchange (J-1) visa is for the non-immigrants to come to the U.S. as a part of international exchange programs. It can be acquired only through the sponsoring organizations approved by US Government. The holders of J-1 visa can teach, study, research, give lectures or receive training – all within the time scheduled in the programs they participate in. J-1 visa gives its holder the right to full-time work during 4 months and - after the duration of time - another 30 additional days just for traveling. J-1 visa also allows to cross the border and visit the territories of Canada and Mexico in the period specified in form DS-2019.

WORK ON CAMP     

Summer Camp programs last around 8-9 weeks. After completing the task, the participant may travel throughout the country or choose to work again for the next 7 weeks. After that, he or she must leave the US in accordance with the rules of J-1 visa. The participants of summer camps work as  educators, coaches, instructors or camp service. Our campers are responsible for the children aged 7 – 16. The rules and their duties set by the camp principal are very strict and demanding, as they will be treated not only as the staff members, administrators or guardians but as elder brothers. Working on the summer camp requires lot of commitment, strong will, involvement and understanding. If the participant manages the job, he or she can stay longer on PRE or POST CAMP and enjoy the experience more than just 9 weeks.

For every additional week, the participant will be given $ 200 pocket money (in allowance).

Given Jobs:

Camp Counselor - person hired at this position will be responsible for teaching and time planning. He or she will plan and prepare every attraction for the kids. If you are a child-loving person, prepare yourself for an unforgettable experience and having the time of your life! 

Camp Support Staff - person hired at this position will be responsible for the camp organization and service. This is the perfect opportunity for those who have no previous experience in working with children and still dream of  taking  part in summer camps. You can work in kitchen or  laundry, patrol the camp area and work as  a driver or a carpenter. 

You will be working throughout the day with  several rather long breaks. Summer camp is a program directed to those who take pleasure in  spending time with children. We provide food and accommodation free to all of our workers and pocket money that can be spent on traveling in the USA wherever you want. The position of Camp Counselor means that you will spend almost two months speaking only English, there is no better way to improve your communication skills.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

  • You must be 19 years old or older
  • You must speak English fluently
  • You must be a student, teacher or social worker with child care certificates and references if you apply for the job as Camp Counselor (Instructor)
  • You must be in a good health
  • You must provide the bank reference for the amount of $1200 (US dollar) as a guarantee of signing the contract with the camp principal
  • Police background check translated into English
  • You must be able to go to the USA between 15th of May and 15th of June
  • You must have a valid passport (it must be valid 6 months after the end of program)
  • You must love children

DOCUMENTS YOU NEED TO SEND US:

  • Fill in the application online
  • Copy of your High School certificate
  • Police Background check (translated into English)
  • Two references (translated into English)
  • Any other documents that will prove your references and skills
  • Copy of your passport (the page with your picture and pages with all visas from your previous visit to the US)
  • Copy of your student ID card with your picture
  • 2 visa sized pictures
  • Bank reference for the amount of $1200 (US dollar)
  • Your CV and Motivation Letter directed to the Camp Principal (by e mail)

  • Copy of your LCCI, TOEFL, FCE scores

TRAVEL     

After you finish your work, you can travel alone or with your the group of new  friends. We advice you to use the Internet in order to find car rental company that will make your traveling easy and simple. There are tons of interesting places in The US waiting to be discovered by you. Just remember, the climate may be different that the one you are used to! So many places in the US that are worth seeing...so many memories that will stay with you forever... enormous deserts, highest mountains, canyons, beautiful and breath taking beaches -it’s impossible to name them all! Students are not limited by the US territory, they can visit Canada and Mexico as well. There are many different ways to spend your leisure time. Think about your dreams and let them realize!!
